EUREKA GREEK LANGUAGE SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARGING COURSES

TERMS & CONDITIONS

REGISTRATION

There is a registration fee of 40€ once per year. If you wish to enroll on our courses, please fill in the following registration form.

PAYMENT AND CANCELATION POLICY

Payments can be settled through PayPal or bank transfer. For bank details, please contact us through email at eurekacourses@gmail.com. Any bank charges incurred are payable by students. All lessons are prepaid. The deadline for registration and payment for the courses in presence is one month before the beginning of the lessons. We confirm your enrolment after having received an accurate completed application form and after payment has been cleared through our bank. Full refunds will be given (except from the registration fee) if you inform the school at least three weeks before the course starts. No refunds will be given for late cancellations (less than three weeks before the starting date).

Please note that Eureka Courses Language School is a new established school, and you might be the only student in the class, despite having requested a group lesson. In this case, the prices as well as the schedule are subject to change.

COURSES

Intensive Courses of Modern Greek

Students depending on their level, gain a thorough knowledge of the Greek language by practicing all learning skills: conversation, listening, reading / comprehension and writing. The course aligns the language with the Greek culture, since songs, poems, short films, Greek mythology, daily life, and social customs supplement the teaching material. The course contains 4 group lessons of 55’. Lessons last from 10:00 to 14:00, from Monday to Friday. During periods of high attendance, there might be an additional evening schedule from 14:00 to 18:00. Eureka Courses Language School reserves the right to change the schedule. Courses for absolute beginners start every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. Lessons of all other levels start every Monday.

Intensive Greek Language Courses Combined with Literature

This course is available for everyone who has a knowledge of B1 level. Students have the chance to gain a deep insight into grammatical phenomena while reading a literary book. In this way they strengthen their linguistic competence in a short period of time, by practicing all skills while exploring multiple aspects of Greek civilization such as history, literature, poetry, customs, and traditions.

The course starts every Monday and contains 4 group lessons of 55’.

For this type of course, we strongly recommend our students to opt for the two weeks program.

In case you wish to attend the course for one week only, please bear in mind that the curriculum might not be totally covered, as there won’t be enough time to read the whole book. In case there is only one student in the class the schedule will be reduced to two hours (55’) per day and the cost will be respectively modified (please check the prices of private tutoring below).

Business Greek

This course is addressed to professionals who live and work in Greece and aim at communicating with their colleagues or customers within the corporate environment or simply wish to achieve a more efficient interaction within the contemporary Greek society. You can enroll on this course either individually, or as a team of employees working at the same company or office. The course is based on material and activities that cultivate all four skills, but the emphasis is given mainly on the conversational skills (speaking and listening).

The starting date and the time schedule of this course are arranged in communication with our school, depending on our availability and the day and time of your preference. Lessons can be conducted either at our school (in presence or online) or at your working space.

Private Tutoring in Presence

This course is suitable for everyone who wishes to have one-to-one lessons at his/her own pace. The lesson adjusts to the student’s individual skills and goals. You can also share your course with another student.

Private Online

This course is suitable for everyone who wishes to have one-to-one lessons at his/her own pace. The lesson adjusts to the student’s individual skills and goals. You can also share your course with another student.

Online academic year starts in September and ends in June. This year online courses end on June 17th.

NATIONAL HOLIDAYS

Our school is closed during national holidays. Lessons that fall on a national holiday, are rescheduled for another day. National holidays in Greece are: 01/01, 06/01, 07/03, 25/03, 22/04, 23/04, 24/04, 25/04, 01/05, 02/05, 13/06, 15/08, 28/10, 17/11, 06/12, 25/12, 26/12.

INSURANCE

The price of the course does not provide insurance. The school is not responsible in case unpleasant incidences occur. Each student oversees taking out a valid insurance during his / her stay.

Following your enrolment, an appointment will be set up to examine your level online through a placement test with the guidance of one of our teachers. The trial lesson lasts approximately 30 minutes and is free of cost.

ACCOMMODATION

Students are responsible to organize their accommodation in Athens. However, in case you need our help, feel free to contact us to send you a list of accommodation places close to our school in the city center.

SPECIAL OFFERS

There is a discount of 10% for 2 persons who wish to enroll together and a discount of 15% for 3 or more persons of the same level.
